Hey yall,
Great to have 281 people along for this 20th edition.

We were almost finished with our second bottle of champagne. It was a Louis Roederer Brut Rose as we sat outside at my favorite restaurant in all of Maui. It was a typical Maui night in that the weather was perfect, the waves crashed on the shore, and the moonlight provided all the light we needed.
The waiter walked over, preparing to refill our glasses which were nearly empty. I watched as he picked up the nearly empty bottle and then saw it happen in slow motion. It fell from his hands, tumbling towards the ground until it landed with that sound every person knows too well. Shattered.
What a shame to lose that last bit of wine. Oh well, we had plenty already.
The waiter apologized profusely. We both said don’t even worry. We didn’t care. The night was beautiful. Two old friends were catching up, drinking wine, and eating incredible food. It’s the kind of night that never goes away. The special ones.
We went back to eating and talking. Switching from the bubbles of our champagne to the bubbles of our San Pelligrino. Not quite the same, but probably a good decision.
Then out of nowhere, our waiter reappeared.
With a brand new bottle of the Louis Roederer Brut Rose. It’s on the house.
We looked at each other across the table and had one of those moments of instant communication without saying a word.
We knew we shouldn’t have anymore.
So we told the waiter, “No need. We really are fine.”
The next sound I heard was the distinct pop of the cork releasing from the bottle. Pink bubbles filling our glasses.
What else could we do? We cheered. We drank. We laughed. We lived.
Here’s to more of those nights in the near future with so many of the friends I have met through these past 6 months of this online journey.
Cheers. Salud. Kanpai. Sante. Saude. Skal. And so many more.
I went on a podcast with Andrew Barry this week.

Be your biggest advocate. Talk about yourself. Talk about your ideas. Talk about your vision. Talk about your product.
Learn to sell yourself.
I say this for one reason. If I don’t sell my vision for Performative Speaking and the transformation it creates, then I would never see tweets like this from current students:

So yes. I will keep selling myself. I will keep selling Performative Speaking.
I will keep selling because I know what it will do for you.

If you aren’t sure, just ask any of those people in those tweets above. I promise, there’s a reason I will keep talking about this.
Look forward to changing a whole bunch more lives.
